Equipment Affects Motion® - We believe that the Teacher can use the golf club to make beneficial and lasting changes in students' motion. Simply, equipment that fits - improves the golf swing. The equipment should be integral to your motion promoting a sound and repeatable swing.
We Value Teachers - HG believes only golf professionals and golf teachers, trained in the HG methodology and using HG fittings tools, can effectively fit golf clubs to players of all abilities. To match specific club characteristics to individual swing motions and body types is a painstaking, highly nuanced blend of art and science.
Ball Flight is Dynamic - When a student can see and understand their ball flight, learning will take place. It is imperative that the teaching be undertaken outdoors where the feedback from changes in the configuration of the equipment can immediately be visualized. This feedback is used iteratively by the teacher to best tailor the equipment to individual swing motions.
Balance is Fundamental - Balance is the way HG approaches life and the game. Balance is exhibited by a solid swing that starts and finishes in a controlled, smooth effortless and coordinated motion. Balance in the body and club are intrinsically connected - at address, during take-away, at the top of the swing, through impact, at the finish. Without equipment that is finely crafted and configured to your unique swing motion, balance cannot be achieved in a repeatable, reliable form.
Precision Makes Perfect - HG Certified Teachers strive to find the single best equipment configuration for their students. HG provides our Certified Teachers with our patented Inter-Changeable System (ICS) that empowers the teacher with an unprecedented 6,500 different club combinations. Alternative systems typically feature 20 to 30 demonstration clubs of various lies, shafts, lengths and flexes. Each golf swing is like a fingerprint in that it is totally unique to every student - 14 key golf club characteristics are manipulated and evaluated throughout the lesson. It is this level of precision that the ICS system puts at the fingertips of the teacher. The precision involved during the lesson is continued through production with each club component weighted and measured to the gram, the tightest tolerances in the industry.
